About Level Cross Fire Department

In May 1971 the community members of Level Cross Community recognized the need for fire protection. After a community meeting and a vote, and in 1972 the Level Cross Voluntary Fire Department was formed. Over the years many special things happened here at the Level Cross Fire Department. We built our fire station located at 137 Branson Mill Rd, Randleman, NC 27317. We responded to our first house fire on November 11, 1973. With a rapid response the fire was contained to the utility room, dining room, and Living room.  After some time, Randolph County Fire Departments were growing, and a new numbering system was needed. Level Cross Fire Department was assigned Station 43, which was very fitting, since The King of Racing, Richard Petty, lives in the district. Over the years Level Cross Fire Department has grown and progressed to the department that we are today.
